Time for getting dark early, putting the heating on, eating spicy soup and watching the leaves turn red. Soon be Autumn!

My birthday

A little late, as it was on the 22nd of April, but here are some random images. :)

Matron of Honour!

Yes, my friend Mand trusted me enough to make me Maid of Honour at her wedding. :)

Here is a picture of my bag (bought for me by the groom) and my flowers.

It was a brilliant day. We stayed here the night before, and the night time do was here. The wedding breakfast was at Petrolheads Milk Bar (you can guess that this was a biker wedding!), but I can't seem to find a web site for them

I remember singing along with this at infant school. :) I don't remember it being a TV programme as well, but apparently it was.

Parental Road Trip!

 We went to see my Mum and Dad on Saturday, who dwell at the other end of the country, which was lovely.  Them I mean, not going to the other end of the country. :)

On the way back we stayed overnight in Lutterworth, which is a pretty little place. We ate here, and it was smashing! Here is my wine, and my saag paneer curry. :)

We went to see The Dubliners on Sunday, at The Lowry Centre

And tonight we will be back there again, to see Count Arthur Strong! :).

Plants in the kitchen Rooms!

Which reminds me that I do need to get more plants. I seem to have whittled mine down to 1 these days!

Food and drink :)

How lovely! And all online too!

However, I would prefer to have it living in my kitchen. I don't have a printer at home and taking the laptop into the kitchen whilst cooking is probably dangerous.

I do believe we had this book when I was growing up. I can feel a purchase coming on...

Tent..er...Rooms. :)

I am not a camping person. At all, really. I prefer the immediate presence of a bathroom! However, I am very fond of the idea of a tent in the garden in the summer. Just for hanging about in. With the benefit of a bathroom. :)

I'd spend the day and evening in any of these, on a sunny (even better, rainy) day. :)

Hello again

I have been FAR too remiss in my posts of late, so perhaps my New Years Resolution should be to post more thingies on here.

In the meantime.....

Electrik, Cholrton

A nice Staurday out round the charity shops, and then off to Electrik for lunch.
I had the bourbon burger with cheese. And some lovely scrumpy.

The mister had soup and some Polish bread. And we bought him a jacket from the vintage sale that was going on. :)

First barbecue of the year

Although you can't really tell, this is Mr Thomas 's Chop House, where we sat outside in the sort of warm sunshine and drank wine. :)
On a Thursday afternoon, no less. :)

And with cider, awaiting nachos to arrive, in Lloyd's No 1 in the Printworks.
